Refurbished premises on Ansatie in Vantaa brings various group businesses under one roof
The renovation of the Ansatie branch in Vantaa is complete! Machinery’s old premises have been refurbished, and the new spacious facilities are now in use. The prominent signs visible from the Kehä III highway have also been updated.
With the completion of the renovation, Boreo, Yleiselektroniikka, Noretron, Machinery, and ESKP can all be found in the same premises on Ansatie in Vantaa.
Environmentally friendly updates to the premises
As of January 1, 2020, Machinery’s Vantaa branch has transitioned to using renewable energy and hydroelectric power.
The hydroelectric power is produced by Oulun Energia’s Merikoski power plant, which has been generating renewable, emission-free, and domestic energy since 1948. The power plant has an electrical capacity of 40 megawatts. The Merikoski power plant is also home to Finland’s longest fishway and the only one on the Oulujoki River, allowing fish to migrate from the sea to the tributaries of the Oulujoki River.
The refurbished branch and main warehouse facility have also made other sustainable choices. In addition to transitioning to hydroelectric power, 260 solar panels with a total capacity of 70,200 W have been installed on the roof of the new branch. Moreover, the recyclability of packaging materials has been increased – last year, 94% of the main warehouse’s packaging materials were recyclable.
