Pneumatic moles
Our selection now also includes HERCU Pneumatic pneumatic moles for underground boring tasks. These innovative boring moles enable easy installation of small pipes using compressed air tunneling, eliminating the need to open the ground by digging. This method saves both time and labor. Pneumatic moles are pneumatic devices designed for horizontal boring. This technique, often referred to as “mole boring,” allows for quick passage under streets or railways, particularly suited for projects where the ground is soft and dry, and the distance is short. Pneumatic moles are excellent tools for installing plastic pipes, as well as electrical and telecommunications networks.
The operation of a pneumatic mole is based on a piston that, with the help of compressed air, pushes the device forward underground. Boring moles are available with either a fixed or moving head. Our selection includes a wide range of pneumatic moles to meet various needs. The head of the Hercu pneumatic moles is threaded, significantly facilitating maintenance work.

Factors Affecting Boring Accuracy in Specific Soil Types:
- Head Mobility: A movable head enables better control of the device, improving boring accuracy.
- Device Length: A shorter machine is easier to maneuver and control, increasing accuracy, especially in confined spaces.
- Boring Speed: Excessive speed reduces accuracy. An appropriate boring speed is essential to prevent the device from sinking too low or veering off course.
- Operating Features: The device’s technical features and performance affect its ability to maintain accuracy across different soil types.
- Stepped Head: A stepped head improves the device’s accuracy and stability during boring by reducing lateral movement.
